Joanna Macy is widely known as a deep ecologist, social activist, and
Buddhist scholar and practitioner. She has developed and taught contemplations and exercises for recovering our connection to our planet and the life it supports by confronting our fears and hesitations and transforming them into joy and compassion. Her work is very timely at this moment of great uncertainty and fear for the future of our families, our nation and civilization on earth. The intent is to connect with our wisdom and compassion so we can act skillfully, in community with others, to address in our own way the challenge of these times. This day-long practice will include these exercises with mindfulness meditation.

Adam Pattantyus is a student of Joanna Macy and Shambhala
Buddhism. Michael Levin is a meditation instructor in the tradition of
Shambhala Buddhism.
